Your post about Morley is such a post. I am collecting information about the discovers of startling elementary geometric theorems and Morley's theorem obviously qualifies. It's amazing such a gem escaped notice for thousands of years. Perhaps the long emphasis on figures that can be constructed with straight edge and compass inhibited centuries of mathematicians from considering what might come about if one assumes a trisection. Maybe the Mad Hatters advice about thinking about impossible things isn't so crazy.John Bakerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16821148862374630974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2433841880619171855.post-17438630439708977252011-11-07T19:10:00.123+00:002011-11-07T19:10:00.123+00:00Read my method of how you can trisect an angle at ...Read my method of how you can trisect an angle at http://www.scribd.com/doc/62318863/Trisection-of-an-Angle-English . I have found a 4 power equation instead of the 3 power which is proved as unsolved. Just off that road is the market area (market hill) and more pretty shops.

There is a lot of Dutch influence here in East Anglia... early on they brought Dutch Engineers and workers over to drain the Fens, great swamps that used to cover much of this area. Now, like your homeland, the rivers are higher than the land. There was also a lot of Dutch influence in the weaving/tapestry industry around here for a few hundred years.Pat's Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15234744401613958081noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2433841880619171855.post-75234252825157237862011-03-19T11:51:32.559+00:002011-03-19T11:51:32.559+00:00Interesting anecdotes about Frank Morley and his s...Interesting anecdotes about Frank Morley and his sons. I had a look at Woodbridge on G Earth and Streetview. The main street (is that "The Thoroughfare"?) looks also very much like the Dutch main streets I am more familiar with.
ArjenArjen Dijksmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09450431291713605237noreply@blogger.com
