Write out the numbers ONE through NINE and alphabetize them.
ONE appears in the center.
Do the same for ONE through NINETEEN and ONE through NINETY-NINE.
In each case, ONE remains in the center.

One is also the in the middle of alphabetical listings up to :
9, 11, 15, 19, but after twenty, a long run of t's skew the count toward the end of the alphabet.... SOoooo
For what percentage of the numbers 1-99 or 1-999 is one the median of the alphabetical listings of 1-n
could we write a general function?
