What Math People Do...

A great podcast for HS teachers to present to their students. A practicioner of "VERY applied" mathematics, John Cook is a biological researcher, manager, statistician, blogger, teacher.....  Ok, I probably left out big stuff...  Here is the description on the site:

"On this episode of Strongly Connected Components Samuel Hansen has a conversation with John D. Cook Research Statistician at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. They talk about very applied mathematics, the difference of just in time and just in case learning, and how to have a wonderfully broad career."

The interviewer, Samuel Hansen is an interesting study himself. He is setting out to carve a career as a "mathematical story-teller."  If you want to  support his project, he has a kickstarter link .  You can see more about the project, and make your donation,  here.
