The picture at the top of this post is just too cool! Notice that the telescope is sitting on a globe that is mounted on a miniature Earth that can pivot in it's socket. The people who came long before us knew how to maintain a healthy balance between reason and observation by combining art with science. It is simple yet inspirational!
